Baramulla was a foiled attack but it has hidden lessons

What the peace doves don’t understand about war, patriotism and Fawad Khan.

The popular story goes that when(few months after 26/11 Mumbai Attacks) Ratan Tata was approached by Pakistani Businessmen he denied meeting them and after that when called up by an Indian Politician to take Pakistani businessman’s offer “enthusiastically”, he had famously said ” You could be shameless, I am not”.

Going by the argument of liberal junta who seem heartbroken after Fawad Khan and other Pakistani actors left India, Ratan Tata is a fool to put his national interest ahead of his business and he should simply carry on with business as usual, doesn’t matter if the country concerned is, hell bent to destroy you, kill your army men and threaten your young generation with “special bombs”. That’s what is being proposed by the “peace lovers” of India.

The Uri attacks are still fresh in our minds and yet again India faces a terror attack in Baramulla. I wonder these peace doves will still advocate for peace as lives of soldiers mean less when it comes to providing employment opportunities to Fawad Khans and Mahira Khans.

At least six militants attacked a paramilitary camp in north Kashmir on Sunday night, killing one jawan and wounding another.

The attack on the 46 Rashtriya Rifles camp in Janbazpora on the outskirts of Baramulla city, 54 km from capital Srinagar, started at around 10:30 pm

The attack began when the assailants tried to enter through a public park near the camp, but were stopped. They then took positions on the banks of the Jhelum river, the Baramulla police control room said. (Inputs from Hindustan Times)

Baramulla was a foiled attack but it has hidden lessons

A small nation with a united mind is more powerful than a fragmented nation. We saw this in the China-Japan battle, in World War II. A small but determined army of Japan was proving mightier that the army of US and other European nations and took half of China in it’s strike. That is the power of one mind.

Right now do we even seem serious about the lives of fellow Indians when on one hand we are crying for our killed soldiers and on the other we invite Pakistani artists for entertainment?

Can’t we even sacrifice some entertainment to show solidarity?

Why are we being pushed to the brink of war when we can just wait for Pakistan to destroy itself?

What the “intellectual and Bollywood peace brigade” doesn’t understand is that waiting might be the riskiest thing that India can do. With waiting Pakistan won’t vanish out of poverty. Rather, Pakistan would increasingly turn into something similar to what Afghanistan was under Taliban, or what is Iraq now with the ISIS seize.

Logical voices have been muffled in Pakistan. Army rules the land along with its terror aides. An impotent, dummy government is in place. Things are only going downhill, and situation turning more dangerous in Pakistan with every passing day.

India’s retaliation was bound to happen now or in next couple of years. Pakistan is increasingly turning rogue. The more we delay starting to deal with it the bigger this problem will keep getting. There is no escape.

Next thing we know jihadists could get hold of the Pakistani nuclear bombs, if we think we will wait them out. The more we delay, the more would we pay.

Surgical strike is fine but what is the need to shout about it. Aren’t we helping Pakistan’s cause by uniting them against India?

The answer to this question can be understood by the way Pakistan establishment reacted to the surgical strike news. They wanted to cover up the news. They don’t want citizens to know what happened.

If the intention of India is to send a strong message, India should try that this message reaches every Pakistani else the entire purpose of the strike would be lost. This is in accordance with PM Modi’s statement a few days ago appealing to Pakistani civilians to distance itself from Pakistani establishment.

Pakistanis have been indoctrinated with hate against India. They are already united in hating you. This strike might actually give the Pakistani society a jolt to wake up and realize that they will now have to pay a price for such misadventures.

Pakistani mindset didn’t change in 60 years and no amount of olive branches from India will change that. They are incorrigible fools and we would be living in fool’s paradise if we think we can somehow make them extend the love back.

So our policy to get love and “Aman ki asha” from our neighbour should go out of the window, and we should work towards commanding their respect!

Peace doves say those asking for revenge of Uri attacks and Baramulla attack are war mongers and don’t understand the consequences of war.

Who doesn’t understand?

The families of army men martyred, or the civilians sick and tired of constant terror attack threats, scared of their family’s lives?

Who doesn’t understand the consequences of war?

For 1000s of years India wanted peace, we didn’t want war. Did India escape war? First we were made slaves, then we were made to fight for our rulers for 1000 years. Again we want peace now at the cost of self respect. Did we not learn anything from history?

Now is the responsibility of every Indian to stand as one nation with our decision. Don’t doubt it anymore. Stand with it, stand up for Justice. Only a person with no self worth is scared to fight.

When nuclear threat looms over both nations why are Indians more scared than Pakistanis?

I would urge everyone to read Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar’s poem and find the strength within. We are a nation that celebrates victory of Good over evil. And victory will not come without struggle.
