Little Krishnas and Radhas from all over India

The 8th day of Krishna Paksha of the month of Bhadrapada according to the Hindu calendar, is celebrated as Janmashtami. It is the celebration of Lord Krishna’s birth. It is the time to invite the lord to our humble abodes and seek his divine blessings. The rituals of Janmashtami vary from state to state in India. While womenfolk in Bihar beat Thalis at midnight, to rejoice the birth of Lord Krishna, People in Tamil Nadu decorate the floor with Kolams and celebrate the arrival of the supreme deity. But there is one practice that remains constant throughout India. Krishna is widely worshiped as a child, in his Bal-Gopal form. And parents across India deck up their kids in the Lord Krishna’s and Radha’s attires. We asked our followers to share their photos and the response was phenomenal.
