There are chances that you are a game of thrones fan or have at least watched a few episodes of it. It’s an epic saga of clash of different clans for the Iron Throne, the seat of capital in seven kingdoms. While playing the game of thrones, the kings pay little or no regard to the lives and wellbeing of their subject. In one scene, the imprudent and sadistic prince Joffrey Baratheon boisterously tells her betrothed Sansa Stark about how he put arrows through the hearts of people who came to the castle’s gates to complain about shortage of food in the capital. It was fiction after all, but Delhi, the seat of India’s capital is home to many such arrogant Joffreys. One such Joffrey is Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan, also the chairman of the Delhi Waqf board. Now read this:
A lady visited Khan’s residence to raise the issue of power cuts.
It was too much for Amanatullah Khan.
Khan allegedly instructed a young man to threaten her with rape and murder for ‘politicising” the issue of power cuts in the capital.
He didn’t stop at that, while the complainant was returning from the legislator’s residence, a vehicle allegedly tried mowing her down and Khan was sitting in it.
Amanatullah Khan believes in shunning the dissenting voices rather than looking into problems and solving them, a role for which they are elected.
And Amanatullah Khan has an impressive track record. Earlier this year he was exhorting Muslims to picket Home Minister’s residence, every time an ‘innocent’ Muslim is picked up by the Police. In the same gathering he referred the democratically elected Modi Government as “Haramkhor Modi Sarkar”.
But he is just an MLA and not the party, it could be his way of solving problems not the party’s but when Amanatullah Khan was sent to police remand for investigation into the complaint by Metropolitan Magistrate Ashok Kumar, Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal came up with this:

Hence as always, Aam Aadmi Party is once standing resolutely behind a tainted legislator of its clan like they did in the case of Somnath Bharti, like they did in the case of Jitender Singh Tomar, like they did in the case of their Principal Secretary Rajendra Kumar. If fact their show of strength and solidarity was stronger and more evident than ever before.
Amanatullah Khan’s supporters blocked traffic following his arrest. His supporters protested outside the police station and blocked the traffic. Commuters were stuck for hours because of the protests and a Times Now Video shows AAP worker also blocking an ambulance in the traffic.

I am not going to take the regular route and articulate how Aam Aadmi Party the beacon of hope for tax ridden middle class has taken politics to unfathomable lows because I never took them as serious politicians. I have always considered them a bunch of hooligans out in the city for some fun. And that’s exactly what they are doing. They can’t govern because you cannot expect a bunch of thugs to go through documents, brainstorm over data and figures, devise and review policies or indulge in clean electoral politics.
Aam Aadmi Party, the fabled public funded start-up of Indian Polity was always an exercise in futility. But what’s appalling this time is the sheer arrogance of the 2-bit supporters, all of which should have been behind the bars along with their beloved leader Amanatullah Khan. Roads are no place for rallies and these high headed lowlifes should be taught some lessons in civility.
I am saying this because Aam Aadmi Party has all the necessary ingredients to metamorphosize into another Trinamool Congress, the workers of which are famous for wreaking havoc in streets of Kolkata and rest of Bengal. Any dissenter if not killed on the spot, is crippled for the rest of his life. Aam Aadmi Party is led by a morally bankrupt impostor. His zombie army can bring the state to a standstill on one command of his. Amanatullah Khan Incident is a telltale in itself.
For Delhi voters, I have nothing but a friendly hug. You chose them. Bad Choice.
