Arvind Kejriwal has yet again proved that his entire political career is based on the rock of baseless allegations and even after all this time, he has refused to shy away from making sinister and absolutely false claims about his opposition to malign their character and deflect attention from the crooks in his own party. One would have thought after winning such a huge majority in Delhi Assembly Elections, he would have matured as a leader but time has shown that Kejriwal is incapable of sensible and civil discourse.
What has become the norm over the course of his political career, Arvind Kejriwal’s latest victim of character assassination is Maheish Girri, MP from East Delhi and BJP National Secretary. In a letter to LG Najeeb Jung, which reeked of uncouth and foul language, Arvind Kejriwal alleged that Maheish Girri is responsible for the murder of NDMC officer, M.M.Khan.
To have the audacity to make such an audacious claim, one would have thought Arvind Kejriwal must have some significant evidence to back his words. But if history is any indication, Arvind Kejriwal has almost as much evidence against Maheish Girri as he had against Sheila Dixit, Nitin Gadkari and all those politicians in his list of most corrupt. And all of us know how that ended.
Meanwhile, Maheish Girri has decided enough is enough and has challenged Arvind Kejriwal to prove his allegations or resign as the Chief Minister of Delhi. He has challenged Arvind Kejriwal to a public debate at the Constitution Club in the presence of media on the 19th of June at 4 p.m. to prove the allegations that Kejriwal has labeled against him or resign.
As we all know, Arvind Kejriwal specializes in shoot and scoot Politics. It was amply clear that when he makes allegations, he does not expect the accused to fight back, he expects them to spend all his resources in trying to form a defense. But Arvind Kejriwal doesn’t realize, times have changed since he entered Politics. When Arvind Kejriwal decided to establish the Aam Aadmi Party, perhaps the trust of the masses in politicians was at an all time low. People assumed politicians were guilty until proven innocent. Hence, Arvind Kejriwal got away with most of the slanderous claims that he used to establish himself as a politician.
The Aam Aadmi is not the fool that Arvind Kejriwal has imagined him to be. After all this time, people have recognized his con game and are no longer ready to take his word for it. After all his theatrics and all his drama, public’s patience with the man is running thin. And in such a time, he has decided to fall back to the rock he built his career on: Baseless Allegations.
One can only hope that Maheish Girri can bring the guilty to justice this time around. Nothing short of an FIR against Kejriwal would suffice.
But then again, even if the Judiciary proclaims Kejriwal guilty, he would accuse the judges of being Modi’s agents. After all, Shri Arvind ji is the center of the universe and everything and everyone else solely exists for the purpose of either worshiping him or conspiring against him. Sab milay huay hain ji.
Time has come for someone to rein the unruly child in the Indian democracy. One can only hope Maheish Girri can walk the talk and bring the habitual liar to justice. Arvind Kejriwal has taken advantage of everyone treating him as the petulant child who eventually grows up and rectifies himself. But Kejriwal is showing no signs of learning from his mistakes and giving up on the character assassination of individuals. It’s high time someone takes him to task for his baseless allegations and does not let him so easily off the hook. Because without some external motivation, it’s highly unlikely Arvind Kejriwal will ever mend his ways.
