In order to cover up the disastrous performance of the much-publicized Odd-Even formula, Delhi’s part time CM and full time Don Quixote Arvind Kejriwal did what he does the best. Accusations. Kejriwal accused the Central Information Commission of covering up Modi’s educational qualifications and demanded that this information be made public by the CIC.
He said:
“There are allegations that Narendra Modi does not have any degree. The people of the country want to know the truth. Despite that you have refused to make records regarding Modi’s educational qualifications public. Why did you do this? This is wrong.”
The CIC hence directed Delhi and Gujarat University, the varsities mentioned in Modi’s 2014 Declaration to make his educational record public. Acting upon the CIC directive, Gujarat University’s Vice Chancellor M N Patel shared Modi’s academic details:
“Narendra Damodardas Modi passed his MA in Political Science in 1983 with first class, securing 499 out of 800 marks, which comes to 62.3 per cent as an external student,”
This should put all speculations to rest. Although this is next to impossible, Kejriwal may want to focus on his job rather than putting his nose in things that he has little or no knowledge about. If all of Kejriwal’s achievements as the CM of Delhi were to be documented, the back of a postal stamp would be good enough.
In the 21st century when Modi is trying to transform India into a Manufacturing based economy and urging people to give up subsidies, Kejriwal stormed to power with his populist gimmicks and promises of subsidies.
That he is an eternal rebel and knows nothing about administration is now clear to everyone. He accused Delhi bureaucrats of being brazenly corrupt. The way Municipal Corporation of Delhi strikes were handled was reprehensible.
Before questioning Modi’s Educational Qualifications, Kejriwal should have done some retrospection. Two of his legislators are currently booked under various IPC sections for producing fake educational certificates. One of them has been barred for life from practicing law by the BAR council of India. One of his legislators was booked for Domestic Abuse. One was booked for bashing up a public servant, another for fanning communal sentiments. Kejriwal leads a party of thugs, and he leads them with unmatched panache. And they got a 400% salary increment to keep them motivated.
There is a difference between Literacy and Education. Literacy is the knowledge gained through books, exercises, problems, tasks and exams. Education is knowledge gained through experiences, successes-failures and constant learning. We tend to use these terms invariably.
So when Arvind Kejriwal was questioning Modi’s educational qualifications, he failed to notice one thing that he was questioning the academic credentials of a very educated man.
A man baked in the rigorous training of Sangh, A man with a rich experience as a Sangh Pracharak, A man with phenomenal success record as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and a man who has steered India back to the paths of progress and prosperity as the Prime Minister of the nation.
While the truth about Modi’s educational qualifications are out, his credentials as a highly educated person were unquestionable and beyond the comprehension of someone who has never stayed in one place and performed his duties with sincerity and dignity. Arvind Kejriwal ran away from his duties as an employee at TATA, a RTI Activist, aNGO founder, a revolutionary, a CM and if he manages to win Punjab, he’ll run away from Delhi again most probably. That Kejriwal is an IITan is something that every soul in the nation knows, but he has proved himself to be an uncouth and uneducated fellow. He lacks the honor to remain on a chair as sacrosanct as that of a Chief Minister.
