Chidambaram Ishrat Controversy: All hell broke loose after Ishrat File Expose
The Congress Party which is ever ready to blame Modi, BJP and RSS for every fire breaking on the earth never digests the allegations laid on them. In the fresh case of #IshratFile Expose, Chidambaram has been caught red handed lying and manipulating the nation on whether Ishrat was a terrorist or not. It’s needless to say that not only Chidambaram but Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are also on the radar of playing with the nation’s security (as no major decision bypasses the duo, that is how Manmohan Singh was branded as a puppet) and hiding the fact that senior eminent leaders could have been assassinated if Ishrat Jahan and other terrorists had not been encountered right then. Everyone has at least one skeleton in the closet, Congress has many. Chidambaram Ishrat Controversy is one such skeleton in the closet.
In another expose, In March 2010, the FBI had independently warned India’s Intelligence Bureau that in his questioning by US investigators, Mr Headley had said that Ishrat and her associates were planning terror strikes on Gujarat temples including the Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar which was ignored or we may say, deliberately ignored. Since then, neither Chidambaram nor any of the Gandhis(who never leave a chance to visit various universities to woo the Dalits and minority) have come out in the media and addressed these exposes.
Chidambaram Ishrat Controversy: Congress’s official statement
Not the Gandhis or PC but Congress party spokesman Randeep Surjewala said, “Unlike RSS, Sonia Gandhi or Rahul never intervened or gave any suggestion to the then home minister P Chidambaram or any other person or authority in the government on any administrative matter, including the Ishrat Jahan case.”
Surjewala trying to divert the attention from Gandhis played his favorite card of blaming Modi and continued to say, “The PM and the BJP president owe an explanation to 125 crore Indians over the real motive behind the desperation to shut down the ongoing trial in the Ishrat Jahan case. Let truth and justice be not a casualty in this web of deceit being woven by BJP minister Nirmala Sitharaman and BJP spokespersons”
Chidambaram Ishrat Controversy: All evidences disregarded
BJP has alleged that as part of the “conspiracy”, the Congress leadership disregarded evidence of intelligence agencies about Ishrat being affiliated with a group of terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba, who had entered Gujarat to eliminate Modi. BJP alleged that the Congress president had asked Chidambaram to change the affidavit as part of a political frame-up because “Sonia could tolerate terrorists but not Modi as PM”.
Hitting back at BJP, Surjewala said that Modi should “stop perpetuating the bundle of lies by using his cronies and pawns to spread false-hoods” about the role of the Congress president and vice-president in the case.
Surjewala reiterated that the PM and the BJP chief need to answer as to “why they are trying to bypass the judicial findings” of metropolitan court, Ahmedabad and the division bench of the Gujarat high court, which had held that it was a fake encounter.
“Why are the PM and BJP president trying to block an ongoing trial and blatantly interfere with the judicial process? What is it that they seek to hide or are scared of,” he asked.

Sambit Patra had asked Chidambaram to name the “culprit” or the “shero” who had asked him to change the affidavit in which references to Ishrat being an operative of the LeT and a threat to the life of Modi were made.

In all his rhetoric and explanations, Surjewala nowhere seemed to allege that Chidambaram didn’t sign the first affidavit or defend Chidamabaram. BJP thinks Congress has already accepted (Mind You Surjewala didn’t Defend Pc) the fact that Chidambaram did change affidavits, and the second affidavit was not just editorial change but a clear amendment to frame Modi and other senior leaders of BJP. While Surjewala may defend Gandhis as much as he can, but as Party President and Part Vice President they have a lot of explaining to do, as to why they were in such a dire need to shield a terrorist as an innocent. And it seems the mother son duo has already disowned their very own Chidambaram.
