The chartered plane carrying socialist leader and cheap minister of Waste Bengal – Ms Mamta Banerjee was circling above the secretariat of Delhi. Suddenly its floor slid aside and a huge wrap in white and blue colour fell down. Guiding the canvas painting, the painter –cum- minstrel –cum- minister landed before the open door of Arvind Kejriwal’s office.
Throwing aside the painting-cum-parachute, she entered the office, .only to find it empty. She walked out to find one security guard and asked in Bhindi (she is expert in speaking Hindi in Bengali) – ‘Where is your CM?”
He rubbed both palms rigorously. She pitied him for suffering the cold silently and was about to unwrap her shawl to gift it to him, when he clapped his palms to dust out the brown powder of tobacco and lime. She sighed.
He took a pinch of the powder and placed it in the gap between his teeth and asked her who she was. “I am Mamta Banerjee. Where is Arvind Dada?”
He tilted his head and looked at her for few moments before replying “He is on leave. Someone told him his office is sealed. Like a student, he immediately went into holiday mode and started playing twitter wars”.
She came out of the secretariat and raised her hand to stop one passing auto-rickshaw. The rickshaw stopped by. The driver stared at her for a while and drove off, leaving her stranded. She saw few lights in the fog that were coming to her rapidly. On instinct, she stepped back and a convoy of vehicles zoomed within inches from her. After remaining frozen for a minute, she regained composure and tried to breathe again. She walked across the road and stood in front of one auto that tried to go round about her. When he slowed to go round, she jumped into it and told him to go to the house of Delhi CM. He stopped the auto and turned to face her.
In a menacing voice, the driver said, “Do you think you can threaten me in the name of CM? You may not know, I am a member of AAP and very close to the ward leader’.
She stopped him and said in a high pitched shrilling voice – “Stop your bhashan and drive. I am CM of Bengal and want to go to meet your leader.
He drove her to AK49’s house and she climbed down. She looked at him and said calmly in a tension filled tone: ‘Now that I don’t have money, but never took favours from others, I propose you to accompany me and be my guest for the next one hour. I’ll borrow some money from AK dada and will pay you”.
He pushed the auto aside and followed her.
They went inside to find Arvind was deeply in discussion with Sisodia, Khetan and Lamba. Mamta entered the house, as the auto driver pushed the security explaining them who she was.
She occupied one empty chair and asked Arvind why he is not in office, and why it is open.
“Open”, he exclaimed. ‘I was told it was sealed by CBI”, he turned to Sisodia who turned to Khetan and the circle ended when Lamba looked at Mamta.
“No”, thundered Didi, “It never even closed, for someone lost the keys when the office was open yesterday. The tobacco chewing guard informed me”. Her shrilling voice had sent shivers down their spines. Before they could reply, the convoy that zoomed past her at secretariat stopped at gate and Rahul Gandhi climbed down. He entered the house and started saying “Arvind bhaiyya ..”
Already fuming at Didi’s rant, Arvind raised his hand and said in a tone that was smoothened by Glycodine. “Rahul Baba, wait for a while. Kids are not allowed to intervene while elders are in a debate”. Rahul stomped on the ground and shouted, “I don’t stop. I don’t stop”.
Mamata took control of the situation and took out latest issue of Champak and gave it to the crying baby, who grabbed it by both hands and sat on one empty stool.
“Now, Keju dada, why you’ve not gone to the office today. I am disappointed. Even if someone really seals my office, I would have done my jobs from the office steps, or sitting under the tree. Instead, you chose to watch wrestling of Dharmendra’s team on TV? I am totally disappointed”.
Sisodia produced from nowhere a cup with Sandesh and Rasogulla and offered it to Didi. She took the cup and smiled. “Dear Sisu, there was no need for this. But, how can a Bengali refuse Sandesh and Rasogull”? She sat in the chair and offered one Rasogulla to Rahul and asked him what for he came.
He stood in attention. Turning to Arvind he said, “Arvind Bhai, Don’t worry. I’ll protect you from CBI. If they come, just give me a call or tweet. I will ensure nothing happens to you”.
Already irritated Arvind coughed “First you try to enter temples on your own. Then come to help me. Now, eat that Rasogulla and leave this place”.
Security guard came and informed the gathering that two people claiming AKs from CBI have sought audience with Arvind. Before Arvind reply entered Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher.
Akshay went straight to Arvind and shook his hands. “Seems there was a misunderstanding! In fact, we were rehearsing for the sequel of Special 26. To have more authenticity, we went to your office and there really was one fellow facing graft charges”, he looked around and said. “Seems you’ve had a great holiday at home and at twitter. Nice”.
Enraged at all those present, Didi shouted “How dare you to play pranks with CM’s office? Are you aware of the power of CM?”
Anupam Kher pushed Akshay and came forward and looked around. He pointed to his chest and said in seriously funny tone “Didi, real power lies here”.
