” Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagonising it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies. ” If this is really an art and not mere exaggerations, let me present to you, ladies and gentlemen, the Master of the art : His Highness, Arvind Kejriwal. Criticising everything under the sun unrelated to him isn’t a new hobby for him but his craving, rather desperation, to see his own Prime Minister, thus India, failing at International platform was a new low by his own standards! Even staunch Modi-supporters were instilled with pride when Mr. Shashi Tharoor asked for reparations from U.K., the same man whom they loathed for his anti-Modi remarks. If Bhakts can, why can’t you? Politics is selective, patriotism isn’t!
Questioning and ridiculing the idea of ‘Make in India’, he pitched for ‘Make India’ suggesting that ‘Make India’ will be eventually followed by ‘Make in India’. It was like : ” Beta Kabil Bano Kabil, Kamyabi to Saali Jhak Maar ke Peechhe Aayegi “. Nothing less expected from a masala-film lover cum critique! Let’s keep logic aside as we are discussing the pioneer of an intellectual catastrophe, still differentiating ‘Make in India’ and ‘Make India’ will never make sense in the age of globalisation and liberalisation. Further, he asked what the country had achieved from PM’s foreign trips immediately after PM boarded flight for back home. Mr. Kejriwal, in light of the overnight sensation you became, it’s hard explaining to you that even nine women combined can’t give birth to a child in one month. Unity, read 1.2 billion population, has its own limitations. A Chief Minister, who sat on Dharna defending his culprit law-minister and threatened to disrupt Republic Day Celebration for the sake, preaching protocol to PM was nothing less than epic.
Mr. Kejriwal invited further embarrassment when he asked Prime Minister to follow China’s development model ‘assuming’ that Chinese economy was self-created. Firstly, we as a democratic nation don’t prefer China as a case-study on development. The regressive and worsening human right situation in China isn’t a safe breeding ground for whom we call Liberals in our country. A few of Kejriwal’s acts actually count as sedition in China! Secondly, Chinese growth figures are much inflated. With poor exports, less industrial production, soft retail sector and slower FAI(Fixed Asset Investment), those numbers appear as a bluff. Thirdly, it was the policy of liberalisation and globalisation that tripled Chinese economy within a decade. Rome wasn’t built in a day, so wasn’t China, so won’t be India! So, in the larger interest of country, he ought to keep his ‘better than Modi’s’ growth model’ limited to Delhi only.
That isn’t the end.The much hyped conference on Cooperative Federalism and Centre-State Relationship turned a damp squib on Wednesday. Only three CMs attended the event, one of the them being Kejriwal himself who doesn’t enjoy as much federal-structure privileges as his counterparts do. At his insignificant and futile event, he did what he does best : blamed Centre. A man who mocked Mrs. Sheila Dixit for her excuses of having no significant say in governance of a semi-state couldn’t be more hypocritical. India isn’t United States of India for certain reasons which our fathers of constitution could forsee even 70 years ago but Mr. Kejriwal prefers to remain in denial state till date. Constitution can’t be tailored to his demands especially when he proudly claims to be an anarchist.
Kejriwal isn’t the hero that country deserves or needs. He had promised for free Wi-Fi and not free advices. We know politics is everywhere. As a famous thinker said : ” It’s even in your pants ” but please someone tell Mr. Kejriwal to keep that in his pants only. Call his acts as publicity stunts or whatever, we want our PM, CEO of India, to move ahead unfazed with Kejriwal’s not-so-constructive criticism. We can’t afford to have international relations with vested domestic political interests anymore. And in the end, class name in a piece of code doesn’t pledge your support to anything. Don’t believe it? Look at your URL!!!
