A Surajpur Court on Thursday ordered the registration of an FIR against the kin of Mohammad Akhlaq for alleged cow slaughter.
“Judicial Magistrate Vijay Kumar acting on application moved under 156(3) CrPC for registration of a case, has ordered investigation and lodging of an FIR of cow slaughter against Akhlaq ’s family,” said D S R Tripathi, Senior Prosecution Officer.
Residents of Bishada village in Dadri had met the Gautam Budh Nagar SSP on June 5 to press their demand for registration of an FIR against Mohammad Akhlaq’s family for alleged cow slaughter, following which he had ordered a probe into the charge.
A forensic lab is reported to have said that the meat found in Akhlaq ’s home was beef.
“On October 8, 2015, we had sent the copy of the complaint to SSP, DIG and other senior officials requesting that an FIR be lodged for cow slaughter against Akhlaq’s family. Then we had moved an application before the judicial magistrate’s court under CrPC 156(3) for issuing directions to police to lodge the FIR,” said advocate B R Sharma.
Sanjay Rana, the father of one of the accused, said, “The court has rightly ordered lodging of the FIR. The UP government was taking one-sided action. Now the court order has provided justice to other side too.

Meanwhile it is interesting to note the reactions of some mainstream media journalists and politicians.
Arunoday Mukharji, senior associate editor at CNNNews18 says,
Still dont understand FIR against #Akhlaq family over beef allegations. Consumption of meat becomes larger offence than mob lynching? #Dadri
— Arunoday Mukharji (@ArunodayM) July 14, 2016
Saba Naqvi, the journalist and author who is famous on social media for her controversial statements, says
#Akhlaq the magistrate's order seems to suggest that maybe lynching was justified. Perverted justice.

Then there was Sagarika Ghose, who likes to eat her non-veg, fresh and dripping blood as she tweeted once, says
Why FIR against Akhlaq's family? Its not enough that he's lynched to death, now the "guilt" of the family must be established?
— Sagarika Ghose (@sagarikaghose) July 14, 2016
@Joydas @NameFieldmt yum. Bhakts are yelling try frozen meat! But I like my non-veg, fresh and dripping blood…

You must be thinking where’s Barkha Dutt? Or probably she was too busy to notice this great intolerance amidst the reporting of how evil is the Indian government and indian army to assault the separatist mobs of Kashmir with pellet guns. But she never disappoints us in matters like Akhlaq.
Really, FIR against Ahklaq's family?? Crying shame. Bizarre beyond words. And this from a court of law.

Then there was this Congress politician who didn’t fail to justify why youth take up guns.
Court orders FIR against family of Akhlaq, who was lynched in Dadri ovr beef rumor; this is the reason why youth are taking up the gun.

The Congress spokesperson proved that he was not just the Congress spokesperson but Dadri Lynching’s as well. And he has a great sense of humor when it comes to labelling our country as intolerant
In India, mutton transforms into beef. It takes a few months though. We are a magical country. #DadriLynching

You must be wondering where is the husband when the wife has already expressed deep shame over Court of Law, here he is, Rajdeep Sardesai

Shirish Kunder, failed Bollywood director, never fails to express his opinions selectively on subjects concerning intolerance. Mr. Kunder, it’s always better that the country goes to the cows rather than to the thieves who steal idea from the other lesser known artists and portray as their own.

According to the above intellectual class, there shouldn’t be an FIR against Akhlaq ‘s kin because his family already went through enough. I totally agree that the lynching was very unfortunate and any act of violence is condemnable and should never be tolerated by law. Having said that I would also agree that the FIR is justified as cow slaughter is illegal and a crime under law. And nobody stands above law.
Friends, after reading their reactions, you must be wondering- but where is our very honest Delhi CM, who went on to launch a special ad campaign for Akhlaq at that time? Where is that special tweet condemning the FIR against Akhlaq ’s kin or he is just too busy with promoting Talk with AK and Punjab Elections?
The point is that all the tweets that I have just shown you above have been retweeted by Kejriwal ji. Until Kejriwal is getting his free WI FI he will not once fail to tweet and retweet everything that concerns appeasement, foolery and psychopathy.
