Neem Karoli Baba, also known as Maharaj Ji, Lakshman Das, Handi wala Baba, Tikonia wala baba and Chamatkari Baba., was a Hindu guru and devotee of Hanuman. He was an adept of bhakti yoga and was known for encouraging service to others (seva) as the highest form of unconditional devotion to God. In the 1960s and 70s, Neem Karoli Baba became the spiritual master of a number of Americans. They included spiritual teachers like Ram Dass and Bhagavan Das, and musicians Krishna Das and Jai Uttal.
The beloved Indian spiritual leader had a profound impact on the lives of many prominent people, including Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, and Julia Roberts, despite having passed away many years ago.

Miracle of love
Richard Alpert, a foreigner and a professor of psychology at Harvard University, developed an addiction to LSD while researching its effects on humans. Seeking a spiritual path, he travelled to India and met Baba Neem Karoli.
Considering Neem Karoli Baba to be an ordinary Baba, he gave him a lot of LSD pills to eat, Baba ate all the pills, but they did not have any effect on him. Seeing this miracle of Baba, Richard Alpert immediately became his disciple. Baba told Richard Alpert that there is no joy and satisfaction in getting intoxicated by drugs. If you want to get intoxicated, get intoxicated through spirituality.
Neem Karoli Baba gave the name Ramdas to a special person, who then wrote a book about Baba’s incredible miracles called “Miracle of Love”. With the assistance of organisations such as the Seva Foundation and the Hanuman Foundation, Ramdas was able to carry out spiritual and philanthropic activities in India and abroad.
